  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can Christians suffer from curses?

So in the Old Testament God warns people about curses being placed upon them for various things and deeds. My question is not meant as a trick, can a Christian suffer from a generational curse?
I dont believe so......
The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18

No Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),"

Thus the whom the Son sets free is free indeed. That "free" ..oh means so much.

And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

When Jezebel cursed Elijah he saw what she said. That’s why he ran.

…..

This is why you see multi-generational problems in families. That’s the hint the majority miss. Satan doesn’t come for an individual. He’s after the bloodline. If he can turn one into an alcoholic he targets others with helper spirits.

For the curse to stick there has to be an opening—a legal right; typically sin—or a hands off decree from God. For example, if you watch porn and someone curses your marriage the door is ajar. You’re defiling the bed with pornography. But if the same occurs and you haven’t violated the covenant it has no place to rest and can be returned.

All Christians should be adept at spiritual warfare, conversant in the signs of witchcraft, spirit wives/husbands, and so on. The primary reason there’s so much bondage (mental/physical/emotional) in the church is an inability to recognize the devil’s tentacles and stand against them.
