As a single person I prefer the company of other single people over families with small children. Less confusion, more in common. It's a preference thing.
In certain environments where hright improves survival rate....it's the tall people who end up reproducing more often. You qre familiar with evolution, aren't you?
I think very few children are tested for their IQ.
OK, I can only speak from what I have seen in our school system over the years. No, actually, they often are.

How are they administered and by whom?
Then it's not a racial preference.
Academic achievement differences between ethnicities.
Racism doesn't have to involve hatred or maleficence. Merely preferring to associate with people that look like yourself is deemed to be racism.
Like what? High school graduation rates?
I don't know if that qualifies as racism.

It looks like they gathered data beforehand on students' perceptions about the connections between race and genetics. They'll probably train teachers to explain these topics to students....then try to measure if any changes occurred in the students' perceptions of race and genetics.
It sounds like a sociological study...not a scientific one.

Gathering data on perceptions? You are correct that is definitely not scientific. ?Correcting misinformation about genetics is. I certainly hope it will be geneticists or biologists and not sociologists that will be doing the task. Forgive me if I don't trust sociologists to get it right.
Why is there a need to combat something in schools that is not being taught in schools?
There are people that argue the world is flat with a more than expected number that believe this pseudoscience. It is not taught in school... I am quite sure no one would have a problem with anyone making sure fundamental ideas like the Earth being spherical are taught in school. The idea that you shouldn't combat ignorance is exactly the problem. That's sorta was schools do -- alleviate ignorance.
No teacher is teaching that "you can't get pregnant if you do it standing up", but there is a need to combat that idea in school.
