Yeah you are right. Not much to be done for the dead (done bun can't be undone) so then other than being aware with the neighborhood kids and kids in church where do we "go"?

Now to exposite my statement: I said that the dead are dead. Other than watching out for other children that we come in contact with on a daily basis for signs of abuse and neglect, what other avenues are available to help in preventing these actions in the future?

These weren't abused children. They were murdered by a friend of their mother who murdered the mother in order to steal her unborn baby.

My point is that when we hear of evil in the world we often have a reaction wanting it all to just be ended by God winding up this creation so no more evil could ever happen. I understand this.

And David did, in fact, see evil and plead to God "How long, O Lord?" There is nothing wrong with pleading like this and many things right!

But I sometimes envision God directing us to the Great Commission when we do so plead.

What can we do but preach the gospel? Social reform will take us so far, but a true revival (return to God, not return to religion) is what will seal the deal.
God have mercy on the families of both women involved.
