Blasphemy is perfectly forgivable. All one has to do is repent. All that is unforgivable is refusal to repent, and Christians can do that any day and every day. Every day is Choose Day.Can a person who already is a Christian, who in anger blamphemes God be ever forgiven?
Hello Racough,Can a person who already is a Christian, who in anger blamphemes God be ever forgiven?
You can be for given for anything except rejection of the Holy Spirit and salvation. Blaspheming is rejection of Jesus Christ. Once you are saved nothing you say or do can take your salvation, not even God who can not brake His word. You can do nothing to gain your salvation, and can do nothing to loose, it is God's choose. Can a person who already is a Christian, who in anger blamphemes God be ever forgiven?
Ok so far. Calvinists just have to propagandise, for some reason. You can be for given for anything except rejection of the Holy Spirit and salvation.
Hello Calluna,That's forgivable.
I can. But nobody can provide Scripture to say that the unforgivable sin is blasphemy.Hello Calluna,
Maybe you can give some scripture to back this iup.
Did you even take the time to read what I wrote from Matthew?I can. But nobody can provide Scripture to say that the unforgivable sin is blasphemy.

Yes. I'm getting ever so slightly tired of posters who read what is not written, and who ignore what is written. Take a peek at v. 32, and see if you still take the same view.Did you even take the time to read what I wrote from Matthew?
Since you won't write any more than a line or two with nothing to back yourself up, here are verses 31 & 32.Yes. I'm getting ever so slightly tired of posters who read what is not written, and who ignore what is written. Take a peek at v. 32, and see if you still take the same view.
Hello Censor,Ok blasphemy is more like saying something bad or ugly about God. This word blasphemy as been push around and given different meaning. ok?
Now the word unforgivable is just that. Something that God can not and will not forgive. And that is saying no to God and what Jesus did on the cross.
If you tell God that it is not enough and you want to add something to Jesus blood, it is a slap in the face of God.

Hello Censor,
Was Paul forgiven for what he did before he was revealed the truth? He did some pretty bad things to the christians and surely denied Jesus before.

Hello Censor,This is a very good question. Let me ask you, do you know that God knows every thing. If He does, then He knew Paul before Adam.
God knew what Paul was going to do from the beginning of time and FORGAVE him. This may be hard to believe, but it is true. Salvation did not begin with Jesus on the cross. God knew who he was going to save and who was not going to make the cut.
I was saved before the fall in the garden, because time means nothing to a all knowing God.
God knew Paul heart and yours. That is why he was chosen. God looks into the heart of man and that He can say of Dave who broke ever commandment that Dave was a man after my own heart.

So why do you think that is?Jesus says that you can speak words against him and be forgiven but if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you will not be forgiven, ever.
Still stuck on one liners? Why don't you let go and try to prove your point by giving us scripture to back it up?So why do you think that is?
Hello Censor,
Yes, I agree completely with what you are saying. My point was that even though speaking against Jesus may be a slap in the face of God, he can still forgive that, as he did Paul.
There are some that say that denying Jesus is the unforgivable sin but that is not true. Paul denied Jesus, yet, he had a great love for God. He just didn't understand the truth yet, because God hadn't revealed Jesus to him.
God Bless,
And also chosen before the fall of man,

Amen AmenWell take Peter who denied Jesus 3 times. Paul with out the Spirit denied Who Jesus was, but never after. Peter was there to see everything Jesus did and still denied Jesus. (Peter had yet to Have the Spirit)
I would find it difficult to deny Jesus at this time, but even if I did He would never deny me. And to that I hold close to my heart.
