  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm currently going to a small church. They broadcast Sunday service via a cell phone to Facebook. However, those videos do roll off after so long. They would like the ability to record service and / or place it on youtube or their own website, and want to move away from broadcasting via cell phone on a tripod.

I was told that they used to have a camera back in the sound booth but it wouldn't zoom, pan. etc and the audio was terrible. They do want the ability to pan and zoom on whatever they get.

I was involved in church AV once upon a time, though that was years ago and I'm sure tech has changed some since then. I believe back then we did run audio from the soundboard is the sound in for the video otherwise the sound was very "muddy".

Any solutions to recommend that work well for a small church that are budget friendly? Likewise any words of wisdom of things to stay away from?

All advice is welcome. :)
