Why do you say that? Is one not atoned when he genuinely repents of his sins and receives remission for them?

Go look up 'remission' and see what it means.

Read Leviticus 16 and learn about atonement.

So we now see Jesus wasn't speaking of His literal blood.

I am curious as to how the literal blood helps one to overcome the accuser (Revelation 12:10, 11). I am not trying to criticize nor belittle you for believing the literal blood overcomes the accuser. I just want to see how others think literal blood does this.

When I believed in the literal blood, I kept wondering how this worked. Maybe you can shed some light on it for me.

Because it's what God required. Read Leviticus 16, and Hebrews 9 and 10.

Then you aren't speaking of remission of sins. For Jesus plainly says to repent for the remission of sins. Remission means dismissal, release, pass by, send away, and exemption from the consequences. This is the result of genuine repentance of sin.

Greetings all.

This thread will remain closed for two reasons. One, we don't think anything will be gained by leaving it opened and rolling it over. Two, the flaming had reached epic proportions.

So here's the deal. Any reports made on any member in this thread for flaming will be wiped out. This only goes for this thread. This mod hat serves as your warning, so to speak. I include myself as I'm sure there is room for improvement in my actions as well.

Now, with that said, this bickering must stop, both here and in Soteriology. Make your case. Stop declaring victory (that is goading). Stop feigning disbelief that someone holds a particular view. Just make your case. If this cannot be done, further action will happen. I will do my best to be more of a positive example. Hopefully it will not come to the point where these forums are not shut down again.
