i like Sinai Beach, totally not Calvinist ( i guess, you know how hard metal core vocals are to understand??), but a really solid, good thrash metal band that sings about Christ & sin.

Ahhh, where were we....oh yeah!

Anyone that reads the Bible, (not the "Arminian Guiding Helper Free Will" Edition with Full color illustrations!, but a real, plain 'ol Bible) ends up thinking more Calvinistically than Arminianishly. i see this alla time at the jail: the girls just read their Bibles, & they sound desperately Calvinist, aware of & believing in a sovereign God & double predestination & limited atonement & all that jazz.

So many people are into the Study Bibles and the Bibles with all the "explanations" of what everything means, and I think that totally gets in the way.

arminianishly......lol.......:D

reminds me of when my pastor said we were basically baptists, just not as "baptistic" as some baptists! That got a good laugh! (i go to a community church)

"Hard metal core" vocals? Not my cup of tea. You're talking about the guys who sound like they've swallowed a handful of razors, right?

& all that jazz.

Now there's some music I can do.

Ha, ha, ha! You like Sinai Beach? That's great. I used to listen to those guys. I was even in a hardcore band for a while.

yeah, i used to think Christian metal was an oxymoron, is there any such thing as Reformed Metal?

The Van Tils? The Calvins? I'd even settle for The Hodges, know anyone like that, hmmmm?

Those don't sound like metal names. How about "Presuppositional Theory" as opposed to "The Van Tils"? ;)

I don't play an instrument. I wish that I could play the bass, but I currently live in a townhouse. ;)
