NAME: Calliope which means "beautiful voice" in Greek. She often times uses this "beautiful" voice to yell and boss people around.
GENDER: Female
AGE: One would guess in her fifties, but nobody would dare ask her!

APPEARANCE: A dark skinned woman of great girth who always wears her hair up in a tight bun. Her hands are usually on her hips and a scowl on her face from dissaproval of her slave, Ianthe. She also caries a ladle with her at all times. Some say this is just to test the quality of the oil, but it often times doubles as a tool to knock people over the head with.
BIO: She's single, and nobody wonders why. She has widespread reputation for her bossy attitude, her staunch way of doing buisiness, and the high quality of her oil (actually, her oil quality is the only reason anyone stands to do business with her). She's fairly well to do simply because of the quality of her product. The only person who has spent any amount of time with her is Ianthe, but that's just because she's her slave and doesn't have a choice. Calliope calles her Desdemona.
