Hi guys, um...I am not sure if this is the proper place for this question so if it isnt just let me know where it belongs and I can move it.
So I asked this to the Chaplans and I just wanted to get other views on it as well so I just copy and pasted so here we go.
So on to the question. Okay so I dont have the exact quote but its about calling someone a fool. I think it is in Matthew if I am not mistaken, something about going to heck for calling someone a fool.
No offense but that seames a little extreme! Is there a deeper meaning to this passage than just calling someone a name, because what of people in a movie or play where they call someone a fool, or friends just goofing around calling egother a fool or jerk as a joke. Would it still apply then?
Or is this passage talking about calling someone a fool in order to insult them or make them feel bad out of anger like in an argument. Because Jesus called people fools didnt he, and he wouldnt sin.
