Calling upon the name of the Lord has been done by men since the beginning of the world. Genesis 4:26. To call upon the name of the Lord is to place your faith and trust in him.

Big bold font and “I’m not open to debate” is a bad indication. The bible says OTHERS recognized the authority Jesus’ teaching had. Those who can’t find anyone else to say they have that same authority toot their own horn insisting they do since no one else seems to notice. A committee of one.

If the scriptures are interpreted correctly what then is the issue? Am I wrong for sharing the understanding that God gave to me? What now, should I be ashamed of the truth because others don't agree with how it is taught? If I changed not the meaning of the text but rather clarified it in detail, why am I then accused of error?

He that can believe the truth let him receive it, the truth of God's word is for him.

You think your understanding = the writer’s thinking and no one is allowed to think differently than you do. That’s the problem.
Am I wrong for sharing the understanding that God gave to me?
If God gave it to you, you wouldn’t insist no one else can say anything differently. That is NOT how those God speaks to act.
What now, should I be ashamed of the truth because others don't agree with how it is taught?
Neither a Jesus nor any prophet was so arrogant about what that knew from Him. He doesn’t allow that kind of attitude.
If I changed not the meaning of the text but rather clarified it in detail, why am I then accused of error?
The text is not the problem. Read what you wrote, that’s the problem.
He that can believe the truth let him receive it, the truth of God's word is for him.
The truth? Yes. Your words, however, are subject to consideration by all who know the truth. Telling us we can’t betrays an attitude.

I can get atheists to call on the name of the Lord. Jesus said there’ll be those call “Lord, lord” and he’ll send them away. Those are not magic words and using them doesn’t require faith.

I have to add that you do admit that there are those who do call about the name of the Lord without faith. Maybe you did not mean to do so but you admit that there are those who DO call upon the name of the Lord without any faith. That is what I say too. They are not going to be saved even though they call upon the name of the Lord.

I know there is none here that has interpreted these scriptures properly and yet here they are telling you what they mean. What is worse then, the truth or lies?
Reminds me of a verse out of Job, “surely you are the people and...

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath faith, to him shall be given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that faith which he seemeth to have.

The word of God serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

The man who is given the mysteries of God will never stand and shout to every everyone that he alone has the truth and no one else. Those kind of thinkers God gives nothing to.

A person already believes when they call upon the name of the Lord. It’s a confession God-ward of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

This verse marries the concepts of belief and confession. One won’t confess without belief; and one will not believe without confession. It’s not works; it’s an acknowledgement toward God that you are fully persuaded of him.

Not everyone who believes will confess

Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Again, some people lie. That is, they confess with their mouth what is not true. That is, they confess without faith. It is a blindness to think people never lie. There will be those who come to Jesus (many) confessing and calling on the name of the Lord who will be lost according to a jesus. Confession is not magic.

What a lot of folk don't understand is that the whole Bible is a salvation text.

The Bible is centred around Jesus, his death and resurrection. It was prophesied in the Old Testament, and was the foundation of the Apostles doctrine and the gospel. Any other foundation is a false foundation and another gospel.
