Calling upon the name of the Lord has been done by men since the beginning of the world. Genesis 4:26. To call upon the name of the Lord is to place your faith and trust in him.I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of
the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.
That verse is addressing time during the tribulation where believing people will be saved from God's wrath, that He will be bringing on the earth.
The Bible states to receive eternal life a person is to believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah from Old Testament prophecies and trust in The Messiah for His free gift of eternal life.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
That is stated over 70 times in the Gospel of John.

You think your understanding = the writer’s thinking and no one is allowed to think differently than you do. That’s the problem.If the scriptures are interpreted correctly what then is the issue?
If God gave it to you, you wouldn’t insist no one else can say anything differently. That is NOT how those God speaks to act.Am I wrong for sharing the understanding that God gave to me?
