  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"And to Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time men began to call upon the name of Jehova." -Gen 4:26
about 2 months ago i started getting together with a group on my university campus, and i have learned to start calling out to Jesus asmuch as i can. litteraly, saying His name, "Looooord Jeesssuuuss" just saying "Jesus I love you" etc. lots of saints in the bible called out His name. Jesus listens...when you say His name, He hears, He wants you to call out to Him. If you don't already do this, you really should.
When you wake up, starting saying His name. you will feel Him....just repeat His glorious name....may sound strange, but a lot of us christians have looked over this simple, powerful tool. i heard somewhere that "even if you forget you called out his name, He will never forget."

Markthomas,

I love you post. Just think of how Jesus feels when people actually say His name with love and affection? Did you ever here of the Jesus prayer? I think that some Catholics practice this form of prayer. (I'm not Catholic.) But they simply pary with closed eyes and say the name of Jesus over and over again. Sounds good to me! JESUS...

What a loving post.Have you ever heard the song "Jesus,Just The Mention Of Your Name"? Our pastor sings it and it can make you cry! I love it. That is true how we love to hear our names from the lips of those who love us,so I am sure Jesus does as well.
You gave us something to think about, and act on. God Bless
