CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My boyfriend and I... I don't remember the first time very well (he might recall better hehe) but we talked for a long time. I wasn't nervous because I wasn't as into him as i became later. We certainly weren't dating until about a month after that.
Now talking on the phoen with him is as natural as with any friend. He is such a highlight in my every day.
I think it helps that we've spent time together. A CA to MI LDR is tough, but it won't be LD for long! God willing

lol. The phone is still awkward for me . Even the microphones are sometimes. I just think "It's Amanda on the other end!" and I go completely still. Well, not completely. My pulse and respiration about double .

I remember the first time I talked with Candice on the phone... I had just sent her a dozen pink roses earlier in the day to surprise her while she was working at her church...
She told me to call her there, and we thought it might be a little weird... but I called and the first words out of my mouth were "aww, c'mon... it's not THAT weird"... Told me my voice was sexy though... (*rawr* baby, very *rawr* )
It was great though, good conversation about lots of things... and it will definitely be something that I never ever forget. I don't even know how many hours on the phone we've talked since then (but I know my cell phone company loves me)... but the first was very special.

Awww!!! I LOVE talking about my phone conversations with Steve cuz they make me SOOO happy! Like...sometimes we just stay up till the "wee hours" talking about the most random (and sometimes gross) stuff because we're getting to that point in our relationship where we're super comfortable with each other and it feels soooo good to just be myself and act silly around Steve! He's the best boyfriend cuz he LETS me be silly and he doesn't look at me like "whoa...I'm outta here hun"! Gotta love it!!!

Oh, I can totally relate to that Britty. Clayburn and I will often get to the point where we're both about to fall asleep before we stop talking. We will talk about anything because we're super comfortable and open with each other. We communicate well with each other.
