They had one in Cardiff UK recently, they have them on a regular basis I dont often have the time to go though. The last one I went to was Manotican 5 in Manchester UK which featured all the surviving Drs apart from Peter Davidson who rarely comes along. We also had Yee Jee Tso (Chang in the film) I managed to get his autograph along with Sylvester Mccoy, Sophie Aldred Colin Baker (very nice guy!!!) and the valeyard (the actors name escapes me) and Nicola Bryant.

It seems that most of the cons here have moved from being Dr. Who cons to British SciFi cons or SciFi (in general) cons.

That is what happened to Visions (an annual convention held in Chicago), anyway. :(

Tom does tend to go to the conventions I have met him at one or two. He lives up to his eccentricities.

Any way just something I was sent via the Doctor Who New york group all the way from the BBC thought you might be interested.

Hi there, I have just come across you New York based Doctor Who website and wondered if you might be able to help me with my search for international stories and young fans.

I am researching at the BBC (UK) and we are currently producing a brand new series called ‘Totally Doctor Who’. We are looking to find lots of Doctor Who related stories (worldwide) and also lots of young Doctor Who fans to participate in our new series 'Totally Doctor Who' which is set to be a great show and will be shown on BBC1 sometime this Spring.

As the title 'Totally Doctor Who' suggests, the shows will involve and cover everything to do with new series Doctor Who and the children who love it. We are looking to reach lots of children to let them know about the series and how they can get involved if they so wish. The ages of children we're aiming at are between 7 & 14 and they can participate in many different ways; from sending in drawings, photos, objects and learning educational facts to taking part in competitions, 'Companion Academy' or coming in to our studio (UK based children) with the potential of meeting some of the Doctor Who cast and crew.

As you can see I have attached a poster that describes exactly what we’re looking for. It would be great if you could send this on to your Who-vian contacts as I want to make certain that I am reaching all young Who fans across the world.

The children can apply through the website, there is a special email and address set up to receive all entries. This is totallydoctorwho@bbc.co.uk or post any stuff to Totally Doctor Who, PO Box 5158, CF5 9BD

The websites where you can find out more if you so wish are:

The official Doctor Who website:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/

The BBC Newsround website:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_4770000/newsid_4772500/4772534.stm

CBBC website:

If you are able to help in any way, from sending me weird and wonderful Who related stories to letting me know about events, parties and gatherings, it would all be very much appreciated. Please feel free to forward this email on to all your friends, colleagues, relatives that have direct contact with children.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

All the best
Emily

Cassandra returns??? How?? She died, didn't she?

Remember, the TARDIS can travel to any moment along Lady Cassandra's time stream, so presumably the Doctor could encounter her before the initial meeting in "The End of the Earth."
