hmm, demons eh? Is it too late to join? If not, my character might not follow the guidelines of the classes. He might come off as a super character, seeing as I've used him in alot of RPGs so far. So whatever works, i suppose.

As long as you don't play him like a super-character with all the answers, I don't mind if he's... ah, versatile. Go ahead and PM me your character idea, and I could give you some ideas for integrating him into the setting! (Speaking of which, I really need to find that stupid list of countries and stuff... blegh.)

what i meant by super character, i meant he has alot of powers from previous rpgs, i can tone them done for this thread though, or I could suppress them all until various times in this rpg. *shrugs alot*

This RPG is sorta... uhhhh, self-contained. For now, anyway. I suppose other worlds are a possibility, though... hmmmmm. Myself, I'd just make up an entirely new character. Something different from your usual, y'know?

hmm, ill just stick to an old character...to lazy to make a new one, and to guilty to use my super dude o' death and destruction. Sooo, is classic black mage role taken?

Well, our current black mage is much more shapeshifting oriented, so she doesn't really fit the classical role. We have a number of mages... hmmm. Alarena (Red Mage), Phaedros (Geomancer/Druid type), and Oamra (Black Mage/shapeshifter)... Nadi's a healer (jury's still out on whether it's magic in nature or not)... for physical combatants we have Tosan and Tsaien (whoa, name similarity!) and the token thief/incredibly annoying character is Minion. Our group is curiously lacking in honor, it seems. No Paladin/Holy Joe Knight types here, I guess!

The classes are more guidelines, anyway.

Im about to leave anyway. Well, his undeath is more of a divine sentence to do good, rather then burning in hell for his accidental death and serving the clergy of a false god (in which he knew nothing about). If your a DnD nut, then hes a "deathless", but to make things simple. He is an undead created out of positive, celestial, energy, rather then negative, infernal, energy like most undead. He hates all vampires with a passion, though. They are the symbol of everything he is not, his infinite opposite.

Oh, okay! That makes total sense! (Yes, I'm a DnD nut, and I've read the Book of Exalted Deeds. In fact, when doing a little behind-the-scenes plotting I took a LOT of ideas from DnD.)

What race is your charrie, anyway? Around these parts, sk'kirrim tend to be the most heavily religious... and also the most vulnerable to false gods. There IS a god in this world, but I keep him behind the scenes where he belongs. I wasn't particularly comfortable with using God so I had to make up an analogue to Him, and that fell along the lines of Iluvatar from Tolkien's stuff. A choice between false gods and misrepresenting God...

Oh, yeah, the sk'kirrim are some race I made up, and they figure prominently into the whole demon-hunting thing. Go back to Page 1 of this thread-- the beginning posts have some info on them and some of the overall stuff going on.

One of these times I'd like to get back to you about the Otherkin stuff, though... it's really caught my interest for some reason.

heh heh, otherkin eh? My character is a human/logash (good undead) elementalist. Im gonna go for the night. But if I can join, then can you PM me the back story and where you guys are at the moment. And...is the thread of this titled "calling all demon hunters" or is it something else *guy blonde moment*. And about the otherkin, we can talk in the "christian elves" section, if you wish. But dont expect all the answers from a stupid human/dragonkin like me.

The actual RPG thread is called Portals of Destruction. Maybe some new blood will energize things a bit. If this character of yours has been in other RPGs then that might introduce a bit of cross-planar stuff, which is a real possibility...

Otherkin... we'll get to that in its proper place.
