sorry, but the way this story is going is a bit weak, I mean there should be some reason for them to be going demon hunting, right now it seems like a spur of the moment day trip, out to hunt some demons for fun. And for Tosan, he would need a very good reason to stay and help.

I have ideas, yes, but I'm waiting on the rest of you peoples to post... Plus I'm mad at my stepsis right now and am too mad to type much. (A crummy Christian response, yes... but we won't go there... )

Crud... I did have some story ideas, but the way I set it up REALLY stunk...

I don't think I can go through with this; it's got more holes than Swiss cheese... mystery seems to be a bad thing for RPGs; things get mixed up and collapse too quickly. Maybe it would be a good idea to put this on hold for a day or two....

Anyway... be on the alert for loooong history lesson... (the current demon issues tie in with Lucia and the sk'kirrim as a whole, since most of their kind were demon hunters... suffice it to say, they have issues.) It's taking me a while to write, though.

And I'd like to see some activity over in The Lost Key thread... my charries are still largely clueless about why Rosyen's cult was such a big threat, and the only one of the three who could've known at all has had his mind shattered and he;s in a coma! Greeeeeat.

I might not actually kill any of them, but Mikel will be a head case forever...

hey, be patient guys! i just had uni from 10am till 6pm. No time to post.. but i'll get to it now.

by the way, with 'Portal of Destruction', if our characters really need some sort of conviction or something to drive them on, why not just have them go their separate ways? Phaedro can still go talk to the elders, Tosan might leave town a bit only to see a ruined town or something (and hopefully that would stir up his fire?) and Alarena might receive news that one of her closest relative has died at the hand of the demons. All of that should take about 3-4 posts, depending on how much the player wants to write. Then they can just... bump into each other..

and off we go?

BTW, i don't think it's that bad that it warrants a closure. Sometimes players do things that actually drive the plot along. Anyway, when we get stuck, this is what this thread is for right? when i first started 'The Lost Key' i did not have much of an idea as to how to get to the conclusion (yeah, i've the ending in mind), but ferment jumped in and created his legendary sword, and that became the focal point of the story. But you're not entirely wrong, a RPG with a good outline is easier to play out.

Yeah... I'll go re-open the thread. Sounds like a good idea-- Phaedros has plenty of his own motives (some good, some bad) and everyone else... well, I'm sure everyone'll think of something.

I did manage to come up with some stuff with Buskanaka, so there's at least a vague direction to go in... I just don't want to end up with a billion cliches or any religious kind of stuff that'll make people uncomfortable.
