CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey! I'm bringing this thread back hoping to meet some more Chicagoans. Especially twenty-somethings/college students here. Would love to set up a prayer/worship meeting or even just a trip to the movies or bowling or something. I need to meet more Christian Chicagoans!

Nice! Do you go to college in Chicago? I go to North Park U. off the brown line. Prayer/worship would be awesome! Do you play any instruments?

I am still trying to figure that out, not sure yet. I go to All Nations Worship Assembly 3449 W. Altgeld Chicago, IL. Service starts at 12 pm. I highly HIGHLY recommend it! Awesome church. Try to be there at 11:45 though. Seats fill up and space is limited.

It is a very spirit filled church, very good worship, the Lord is so present, and it is a place where world changers gather!

Hey guys! So sorry it took me so long to come back. I was having some life issues... you know how it is.
I am indeed a student here. I go to Columbia, downtown. I'm a performing arts management major (junior). I live in Jefferson Park though, which isn't too far from North Park... just a straight shot west on Foster, I think.
