How accurate is the calendar of Hillel? Did this calendar effect God's appointed times and seasons? Do you use this calendar, Why or why not ?

Hmmm! Anti Jewish? I really do not believe that it is anti anything. It is telling us how the calendars came about and that indeed the Israelite nation used God's moon to determine the cycles. It is the only method of keeping tract of time that has never changed, yet the Jews and Christian Sabbath triers today will not acknowledge it ever existed. Christians are also ignorant in thinking that the first day now is the same first day Jesus arose from the tomb. Jews were still using the Lunar method of reckoning the cycle as did Moses.

I am convinced that you really didn't read the article in full. It would take more than 20 minutes to comprehend.

I do not use the precalculated Hillel calendar primarily because of the postponement rules which cause the Holy Days to fall when man wants them to fall instead of when they naturally fall. Also, the Hillel calendar differs from the calendar used by the Pharisees in Yeshua's day, the calendar Yeshua used. It can be an entire month off from the sighted moon calendar.

This website promotes a lunar Sabbath calendar with the Feast of Weeks falling in the fourth month instead of the third month. I personally reject it.

The Biblical Calendar is a 364 day a year solar calendar. With it the feast days were always on the same week day. Not sure, but I think they had a leap year every 7 to 19 years.

You say 364, others say 360, others say 365 1/4. What do you do with the missing 1 1/4 days?

Yep, just as I suspected. While I personally would stay as far as I can get from the source, the WLC, ( an offshoot of the SDA church), the summation of events that have led to our present calendar seems pretty accurate. Those folks have provided historical data that we can at least get some truth about the past. Living with our noses a notch higher than others because we believe we already have all the answers is foolish.

It could just be a non intentional error. I have no idea. As I related in post 19 I do not subscribe to WLC beliefs and certainly not with SDAs. I merely chose the website because it contains some History of the calendars throughout ancient history to the present time. The only true way to know the real starting day of the Israelite rituals would be the moon. Even then human error could get the starting day wrong like cloud cover. The next month they could get right back on time.

Another possibility that caused error was the placement of the International Date Line. If the Lunar calendar was not used to figure the cycles starting the weekly cycle from somewhere in the Pacific Ocean instead of Mt Sinai that would cause a change in the keeping of the correct ritual Sabbath day.

Personally, I do not believe we are under any of the ritual laws given to Israel as a nation. The covenant God made with them was broken so many times and it was a conditional covenant of "IF" so God finally ended the relationship. The Temple was destroyed, Jerusalem laid in ruin and Jews have scattered all over the world. Gentiles unequivocally were and are not under the laws given only to Israel. Ditto with Christians.
