Jacob4Jesus= Guy who hates Bush, pretty liberal Democrat.

I honestly respect Bush for coming out and saying this. It takes a lot to admit that you were wrong on something-especially something so huge.

(I have a hard enough time admitting I am wrong about how good a movie would be)

I doubt that he really accepts it. *hits head on wall*
Who knows. And Jacob4Jesus, I also respect him for coming out and saying it. At least he's willing to own up to his mistakes.

Hey, maybe he's not completely delusional afterall? Although one has to wonder... will this be considered a flip flop or correcting a mistake? Of course if it were Kerry saying this it's obvious how some people would treat it, will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Kerry also came out during the time before the war and even after it saying he believed Saddam had WMD and was a threat that had to be dealt with. Everyone thought Saddam had WMD, us, the British, the Russians, the Egyptians, etc. Or would the Kerry supporters like to maintain that there candidate always knew there were no WMD's in Iraq?? I haven't heard Kerry say he was wrong about it yet.

I think the best way that Kerry can handle this is to give Bush the proper respect for admitting he was wrong. It takes 'something I can't say here' to come out and do that. If Kerry jumps all over him and is like "you were wrong, you were wrong" I think it would severely damage his chances. This is a chance for both candidates to be respectful and mature and....

What the heck am I talking about? Like that would ever happen.

You're right Jacob, but we both now either candidate will jump on an admission of being wrong and pump up the campaign rhetoric to the point it is almost unbareable. That is what gets me about this is both candidates, (I support Bush by the way), they want to come off as being perfect or knowing better than the other and this is just wrong.

Yeah if Bush had been Kerry everyone probably would have been yelling "flip flopper" again!

I don't think he owned up to any mistakes he's made. He simply acknowledged the validity of the cia report.

I don't think this man is capable of acknowledging, much less apologizing for, a mistake.

I stand corrected, Jamesb - thanks for pointing it out, and I offer an apology for making a defamatory statement.

You always were a good sport and a gentleman, Chalice. Besides, there isn't a member here who hasn't been corrected a handful of times.... that includes me too....shh!
