I heard that something was going to happen today that will effect every person living on this planet. I also heard that this will be our last election. Then I saw on the news that they are burning ballots. I wonder if we can expect the usual copy cat crime that follows.
My question is this: How can we have an election when the whole system seems to be rigged? Former President Donald Trump and his allies made numerous attempts to challenge the results of the 2020 election, filing over 60 lawsuits. However, these efforts were largely unsuccessful, with courts consistently finding no substantial evidence of widespread voter fraud. Pro or Con, they could not prove their case. Can we really know if the election results are fair and just.
The 2000 U.S. presidential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore was indeed a dramatic and contentious event. The term "hanging chads" refers to partially punched ballot cards that caused significant confusion and controversy during the Florida recount. The U.S. Supreme Court ultimately intervened in the case Bush v. Gore, halting the recount and effectively deciding the election in favor of Bush. It was a pivotal moment in American electoral history, highlighting the complexities and challenges of the voting process.
Reminds me of Don McLean song "American pie". Or Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin'"b
"Levee" was a bar that went out of business when the owner died.
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
