Burning a CD in Windows Media Player?

How can you make it work? I have some music on this PC that I want to move to my PC by copying it to a disc (then I was going to delete the files on this one so I would not be stealing or anything)

However, I got errors everywhere and it said that there was no room for my 4 MB of music on a 7 MB CD.

what version of WMP do you have? I never bothered burning my CD's from WMP 7...although I've heard some good about the upgraded version of WMP 9.

I have Adaptec 5, and I've always burned music to my CD...and the only way to make it really work, is to have a blank CD for music ONLY. There's several steps to burn, but it's better than getting coasters LOL

Dunno what to tell you HOW to burn CD's from WMP....guess I'm not much help...LOL Hope there's someone out there who can help you.

I tried a different strategy, click and drag the files from "My Music" to the CD (hey, it worked with my photos and GIFs to transfer them) but now I am getting an error message claiming that files cannot be written and that possibly the disc is bad. However, it's good for all I know, and I'm not writing more than it can allegedly hold (it says 700 MB, my entire file library is not over 500 or 600 at the most)

Is your library in MP3 form, burning an audio converts it to WAV which is much larger file size than MP3. Try this nero burning ROM demo, the wizard is really easy to use.

Grrr. . .my CD burning software will not record MIDI files to discs.

Most CD's will not burn MIDI's....

You'll want a program that converts MIDI's to either .wav or .mp3 files in order to burn it to your CD.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Suggestion: go to Google.com and type in "converting MIDI to wav or mp3 files" to search for sites to get the program to download and hopefully converts your files.&nbsp; They should have a tutorial on their programs, too &nbsp;&nbsp;

Usually, the first 10 sites are the best ones...I'd pick the first two as an excellent site to look into and download a program.
