Burn "Left Behind" Books!!!

How many more of those books are they going to write anyway? I stopped reading them about a year and a half ago when I realized they were never going to wrap things up. Even for fiction, it's pretty lame.

Hey, I'm a literature student, so I say with authority: this fiction is horrible. It only took me one page. I couldn't read past the first page without spazzing out. It was a drudgery. Anywho, that's just my few cents on the novels' quality.

They keep expanding the series. The more sales=more money. So, from a business standpoint, I understand their desire to keep the machine going.

Mmmmm... Christian commercialismmm...

Maybe it's high time I trade them in for some Harry Potter stuff.....

Hagee had as a backdrop a huge, colorful, fully-illustrated chart of "Bible Prophecy" (according to Dispensationalists). I must say, it was sharp looking.

Hahaha!!

It was interesting to observe what "worship" means in that group: a few hymns and an hour or more of Hagee's opinions. No altar, no cross. Zip.

Phew!

Well didn't you know?! It's a TV show!! Why would they waste air-time with all that God praisin'?!?!

If you think they're bad, stay away form the "Christ Clone Trilogy"! Ugh!
There is some kind of marketing scam going on at Amazon.com, where there are a million favourable reviews for the books, but they're terrible! Worse than Left Behind!!

Interestingly enough, the series was supposed to be a trilogy.

Since you're into the humanities, please check out the thread PIERCED BY A SWORD. I am a Linguistics Major (Senior) and those books by Bud gave me devilish nightmares. My priest told me not to read any more books like that as he had to read some prayers of exorcism. Bud's books don't have to have all the sex and violence and devil scenes. I wrote him a letter but he wouldn't listen. He wants to write what the market wants to read, so he's part of the problem.

Hey, maybe you could write some decent fiction, or better yet, good fiction based on historical figures?

At least the Left Behind books didn't affect me the same way.

I am a Linguistics Major (Senior) and those books by Bud gave me devilish nightmares. My priest told me not to read any more books like that as he had to read some prayers of exorcism.
