Bumper stickers

This isn't meant to be a joke. It is a serious question.

Why are there so many christian bumper stickers?

You guys have more than any other belief system. And I think it's perfectly understandable that all those people want to tell others about the path that they believe to be correct, but do they really think that a person will actually be converted by a bumper sticker? Not being a christian, I am annoyed when someone tries to convert me face to face, but when it's a bumper sticker it really gets on my nerves. And there is never just one, as if we didn't get the point with the first one.

Sorry for the little rant there, and thank you for your responses.

Perhaps it is just marketing. Every christian bookstore I have ever been into has a wide selection of witty and humorous sayings on bumper stickers.
For myself, I never saw it as an evangelistic tool to target non-christians. I instead saw the target audience as other christians. for myself, I was raised secular and being accepted into the christian community was something I was and still am excited about.

Hi there!

Bumper stickers are points of individual expression, and the United States allows everyone the freedom of expression.

Born again Christians that live Christianity want to follow the Great Commission, to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Think about this bumper sticker...

"How's my driving?
Call 1-800-XXX-XXX"

Just think, if you see a Christian doing something wrong, you can simply call God and report them. God WILL hold them accountable.

Here's my $0.20....

I think they can be an evangelistic tool. No one expects people to be converted by the bumper sticker. However, it could motivate people to ask questions and thereby give the Christian a chance to share their faith.

Don't like the bumper stickers? Don't look at them. I've seen plenty that offended me which were blatantly anti-Christian.

Well, does anyone get offended when they see something like "mean people ****"

We have a custom made sticker on our Jeep that says Fired Up for Jesus, and it has flames with it... Its on our back window... You don't see many Christian stickers where I'm from. Its nice to see some representation in our community.
