Dear Friends,
Becoming a person God wants us to be requires us to have good relationships that will promote the will, plan and purpose of God.
Some questions to ask yourself:
- What can I do by myself?
- What can a group do?
- What kind of relationships do I have?
Relationships is a vital part of life, being dependent on God and relying on each other allows us to share, enable, strengthen, cherish, love, support, risk your life for, be an influence in their spiritual growth and etc. Things to praise God for.
We dont like to do things ourselves and we need people for Godly relationships. Messed up relationships are bad because they:
- damn our vision
- discourage us
- drag us down and derail our thinking
- give up on us
- destroy us
Relationships are our choice to make. We can never change people only God can.
We can never do things alone and having good relationships require people who
- Build your confidence in God and in yourself
- Encourage you when you are discouraged
- Motivate you to do our best
- Stimulate you in greater creativity
- Energise you when you are weary (talking, listening, being there, ...)
- Comforts you when you are hurting
- Know the truth and defends you when criticised
- Forgives you when you make a mistake.
- Love you when youre are unloving (we all have our ups and downs)
- Accepts you the way you are and pushing you to be better.
- Are honest with you when it hurts,
- Confronts you when you are wrong.
- Are willing to give themselves to you
- Are patient with you.
- Are of godly character in their beliefs and behaviour
- Are committed to you
- Genuinely love and care for you
- Looking out for your best interest
- Gives wise godly counsel, advice you can trust
- Are faithful and supports you no matter what happens
- Someone who prays for you.
Finally, all good relationships begin with
Love in Christ
