Building Character through trials

Today in church the pastor at my church was talking about Phil 2:12-13 and working out your salvation. He was talking about how it's worked out (our part) and workinto (God's part) our life. Part of that was on character and fruits of the spirit are built through trials.

For example: You want to be Loving; you'll be put around some unloving people.
You want Joy; some tragic circumstances might hit you.
You want Peace; it might be developed in the midst of CAOS.
You want Self-control; he'll send you to a bikini clad beach....

Any thoughts on how the Lord has helped to develop character in your life?

Good post.

Since hardships will make us strife for seeking God ,and patience will make us endure , God is even more patience waiting for all of us to repent and humble. Look to Jesus which is in the higher place so that we can be more like Him, not staying in fake
