Apparently if a member has their PMs turned off completely, attempts to make a report on one of his or her posts will NOT go through. Instead, the one trying to make a report gets an error message describing that the author of the post they seek to report bes not receiving PMs.

This needs to be fixed, please, or else anyone can avoid being reported by merely turning off their PMs. Or else (since we cannot see reports made on others) staff might be getting multiple reports on one post while the reporter tries reloading the page and sending it again, etc. Either way it needs to be addressed. This bes not the first time this has come up -- it has been going on since several months back. Another user had the same problem when trying to report a nasty guestbook entry in this thread, here: http://christianforums.com/t7122355

Hi Moriah,

You can ignore the message; that's a bug (error) message.

When a report doesn't work, just hit back (back arrow), hit report again, if get error, hit back again, hit report again, repeat until reason for reporting box comes up..

if you get reason for reporting and hit enter, and gives error, do same as above, until goes thru.

It has nothing to do with pms on or off..it's just a bug message.

take care
tapero
