Bug out place

How easy is it to find a small bit of property in the country to buy and put a bug out shelter on it? I found a 1 acre lot with electricity. Needs a well and septic. Can put an RV on it. Not very isolated though. Water nearby. Walmart within 40 min. I was thinking Walmart within 1 or 2 hours! Kinda new to prepping.

Be certain that you familiarize yourself with any zoning laws.

It's a good idea to have a bug location but recently there has been a lot of chatter about the State having plans in place to find small rural bug out locations and how to round up preppers. Maybe it's time to rethink the idea.

In the US, they can take what's been stored - Hasten to add that's what I've been told. All they have to do is look at the computer files to see who ordered larger quantities of whatever.

Use cash. Buy from local suppliers when possible.
