Immediately after the fall you can clearly see blood flowing from the back of the man's head and very obviously pooling on the pavement.

To police standing and walking alongside the man this blood would have been patently obvious. Even if they did not see the blood immediately, the victim was obviously unconscious as a result of hitting his head on the concrete.

Common decency would suggest that nearby police should have immediately gone to the man's aid.

Buffalo police officers suspended after video shows them shoving protester

Two Buffalo police officers have now been suspended. In my opinion a number of the officers present deserve some form of disciplinary action given their obviously failure to act and apparent indifference. The senior police officer present is particularly culpable.

The victim is in a serious but stable condition at a local hospital.

There were one or two who looked like they were going to stop and help, but their superior stopped them. The news report I saw on tv said the police report submitted stated he tripped. Technically that's true, they just didn't clarify they helped him trip.

Things like this have been going on for years, and they are not isolated incidents, they are day to day just anther day in the office for them.

I watched that video and was amazed how clearly you could hear his head hit the pavement, on a video taken from across the street. It made me sick.

Unfortunately cops aren't trained to think. No doubt it's drilled into them that the shove is the standard response in close quarters with a suspect/ protester. I don't want to blame the victim, but he was taking an appreciable risk in approaching a bunch of tooled-up goons.

It was a nasty insodent, but you do make a good point on the victim approaching them not the best move.

That’s the whole issue isn’t it? It should not be considered a risk to approach law enforcement officers. They could have killed the man but their superiors continue to protect them. The assault is not even the worse part. It’s how they walk away. Completely inhumane. Their badges need to be taken away and every officer who complicity stood by should be suspended without pay.

This literally happened at a protest concerning police brutality and accountability. You would hope at least some of them have half a brain.

Watch the start of the OP clip, it's actually their superior who walks up behind and shouts, which seems to force their hand. He's the main culprit imho. Then he warns the one off who's inclined to stop, and throws them a baleful stare at 0:12 as though he had nothing to do with it.
