Hi Longhair, have you overlooked the fact that Buddhism is not a religion, and there is no God or other Deity to worship?

Depends on the Buddhist.

And a religion isn't dependent on whether there is a theistic belief.

The Buddha, was a man, who lived by and established a code of morals and practices. Buddhism does not regard him (Siddartha) to be a God or even be divine.

While that is true particularly in Theravada Buddhism, there are some strains in Mayahana Buddhism that do elevate him so.

The opening statement where you says you does not advocate Buddhism as a "worship" sets a misleading tone! Peace by among us. Bill.

He isn't misleading anyone.

Friend Expressions,

I am absolutely aware that Buddhism is not really a religion. I included that in my opening statement to be sure that the powers that be here at CF did not think I was proposing Buddhism as an alternative to Christianity.
