I had the impression Brother Nathaniel WAS NOT really in the canonical Orthodox Churches. I'm asking now because a you tuber I watch just posted a video of her interviewing him. She does news. I'm concerned she's getting info from someone who isn't a good representation or credible representation of Orthodoxy. Please let me know about this guy. Thanks!

As far as I know he is in the canonical Church and his obedience to his spiritual Father depends on whether he is taking his meds or not.

Actually a random parishioner would be a better representative of Orthodoxy because a random parishioner actually participates in the life of the Church and doesn't just use her as a cover to be antisemitic.

Brother Nathaniel usually gets nutty when he goes off his meds, then he repents and goes back on them and is pretty quiet, then goes off them and the cycle repeats.

I see. Well, I saw him on Kim's show (the you tuber I was referring to in my OP), and I didn't care for his approach and the way he came off, tbh.

I became Orthodox in what, 2014, and I’ve been praying for Brother Nathanael for nearly the entire time, because I very swiftly became aware of his videos and his status. Back then he was fully excommunicated. So the progress he has made since then back into the Church has been profoundly good to see and I pray that he remains and is able to persevere, and I believe he will be able to, particularly if we continue praying for him and seeking the intercession of the Theotokos and all the saints for his salvation.
