Can someone please define "Brit Rock"? Mayhap I'm just not as up on the classification as I used to be...
I usually hear it in reference to music that came out of Britain in the late 80s/early 90s, and possibly as a continuing genre within Indie, but I haven't read up on it in a while. I think it strongly influenced Trip-hop if it didn't actually spawn it.

If I am correct, though, I do like the sound of bands like Stone Roses, The Charlatans UK, Jesus Jones, EMF...even though I've only heard perhaps one or two songs from each of them.

for me, it's U2 all the way!!!

i like U2, way more than Beatles when it comes to the "British Invasion" or brit. rock/european rock.

i like some of the newer stuff. like coldplay, travis, the verve, oasis, keane. that stuff is cool too, but U2 gets my vote all the way with British/Euro rock!
