I mentioned in a previous post" Monastary Goes High-tech" about a Greek Orthodox priest who is putting the library of the monastary on the Net, like Homer and the Sinaiticus, the most ancient complete Bible in known existence. (Nice guy!)
Combine that with the works of Flavius Josephus and you have very interesting history. Interesting tidbit, Joesephus even mentions that he had friends that were at the bisegement of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and they were crucified. Ouch. He says he went with tears begging the general to take them down and the general had pity and let down the three friends of Joseph. Two died and one survived.
Any of you ever thinking about making a photo atlas of the bible, like the places and people that were there, if they still exist.
I think of the palace at Susa (Bible calls it Shushan) where Darius the Great lived. Photos are here
Photos for the tunnel of King Hezekiah and his tunnel. Photos found here.
