Kiyo rode into town from direction of the caves, his cowl blown back and not hiding his face, but this meant little to him at the moment. "Demons! Ancient demons of the deep!" He cried, the loud bellow echoing throughout the town, he forced his horse to stop right in front of an elf and his companion, almost forcing poor Harak to collapse. Jumping from his horse, he brushed the main of him and said, "Harak, my friend, I am sorry. It would perhaps be wise if you found someplace to hide." and with that his horse was off. Turning around quickly, his wolven companion ran up to him. "Thank you for telling me about these creatures Grayas, will you stand and fight with me?" The beast howled a reply, obvious to Kiyo that it was a yes.
Turning around toward the elf he had almost plowed over on Harak, he asked "You can fight, can you not? We will need all the force we can muster."

Kiyo nodded, "That's what Grayas says, he says that they're an ancient semi-demonic race that almost sacrificially slaughters dragons. I may need more than the blades I have, for they are reverse blades." He unsheathed the two sakabatou, showing the blunt attacking edge. "Would you happen to have a few throwing knives? Maybe even regular katana?" He stuck his two blades in the ground, an obvious gesture that they were near useless against the beasts that came from the caves. He slipped off his pack and pulled out a
bow with a quiver of peculiar looking arrows, "'Ice arrows,'" He explained, "Made with a liquid that freezes on contact, I discovered it on one of my more recent skirmishes. They're deadlier than poison because the travel through the blood stream for a short time before freezing." He grinned, "I would show you how it works right now, but I try to make it a habit not to kill animals unless I need food or clothing." with that, he replaced his shouldered sheaths with the quiver strung the bow, testing the string to make sure it would work. "Now, shall we take after the beasts, or wait here and try and defend the town?"

For the first time, Kaiaa mutters a word in elvish and it is not a very polite word. Reven mutters his agreement.

"We have to call for him now. We don't have any choose," Raven growled as he strapped on weapons.

"I hate it when your right," Kaiaa growled back. "Ellendryle, do you trust me?"

*** The army moves faster then most horses could manage over the rough ground, there appeared to be no order just a seething mass of purple and black weapon bearing things headed towards the mountains. Their scouts had come back from the pass leading towards the village, having encountered little opposition from the few lone traders who had been traveling the wrong way. It seemed too easy, the scouts agreed while scarfing down their meal. Fresh meat had been hard to come by a few weeks ago and they would eat anything, including their own kind if they were hungry enough. The leaders of the three parts of the demonic army drew ahead to meet with the scouts, dwarfing them in size. It was about a half candlemark or so later that they begin to settle down, waiting until the sun lowered in the sky to begin their attack.***

**Jianthre nods to the stranger and dissappears inside the forge, searching for any finished blades or knives.. there were not many he knew.. but any would help**

*Ellendryle looks at Kaia , then remembering the events of a few nights ago nods slowly.* "Aye.. I do. But we are only a few against an army and it would take awhile for the Queensguard to come from the outpost. " *she beckoned one of the children who had been half hiding , half watching the group.* "Come here.. can you take a message to the inn? Find the innkeepper and Master Jeriant if ye would.. Hurry now!" *the youngster nodded and ran off. Ellendyle looks at the stranger* "Which way are they coming from?"

"Right now we're going to have to asume that the Queens Gaurd knows nothing and is not comeing to help. Now I have to do two things the first is call Kalis, how just happens to be one of the oldest dragons there is. Don't ask why or how just trust me in this. The second is very simple yet it will no doupt terrify the children and even some of the adults. Just remeber that you trust me and everything will be all right, ok?"

With that she turned and walked to the middle of the village lifted up one hand, and a bolt of light from the slowly sinking sun shot into her hand. Then it spread out into a large sheet of light that traveled quickly and surly outward in every direction.

It was what happened next, however, that had every one scuring away.

Where Kaiaa had once stood now stood a large dragon with scales so dark a purple that they looked nere black and a mane and eyes of gold sun light. The dragon hunched down upon all four feet and studied everyone with, what many swore was an amused expresion.

*As the bright light radiated throughout the village, most of those watching fled to their homes, there were a few hardy souls who stayed, these being Ellendryle, Jenthre, guildmaster Jerient and the innkeeper. Ellendryle took advantage of the momentary distraction to run to her hut and pull out her longbow and a quiver of arrows. She had not used them in years but they might be needed soon.*

"Well, I think ye've frightened most of them enough, m'friend!" *Ellendryle called up to Kaia. The only thing kept her from letting fear gain the upper hand was the memory of what she had witnessed a few nights ago. * "What now? It looks like ye've had more experience in the fight then any of us here" * The others, nodded- glad to have her do the talking*

*Ellendryle looks towards, Kaia then moves closer to those gathered nearby, keeping her voice soft* "While we have time, start having some gather water and other supplies.. we might need them soon. " ~did she say they kill young dragons? ~ *Ellendryle thought to herself, then begin to pray silently asking for help and wisdom*

"First we must prepear the villiage, for the attack," Kaiaa said her voice a rumbling pur. "To do that we must set up traps that either we can activate or that the enemy can set off. We also need food, water, bandages, and as many weapons as you can find, and DON'T underestemate the use of a sling. Because we do not know much, if anything about our enamy, we must prepear for everything. Raven, I want you to try to gather as much information on them as you can, but do it safly.
"Jenthre, I need you to make as many weapons as you can as fast as you can. Don't worry about looks just make sure they can kill. Got it?
"Ellendryle cheek your medical suplies and gather everything you would need from a mild burn to an extream wound. Also, I want you to use my twin blades. I know you don't know how to use them, but the spirit will give you strength to fight and heal
"Innkeeper, keep food and drink ready for any one who will need it. Also clear as much space as you can for any who will be wounded. And if there is a way to summon any out laying farmers in do so, the more people here, the less for the enamy to kill, and the more we have to fight with.
"Guildsmaster, I want you to supervies the traps. Make them deadly and make them quick. I also want you to start up gaurd patrol, make sure those on gaurd have something to defend themselves with. I suggest older children, as they can hide easier and escape into smaller pockets where the enamy can not find them.
"I will go to the sky and bring in some food as well as do some scouting. Any questions?"

*Ellendryle nods quickly, inclining her head to Kaiaa. "Aye, m'lady. D'ye hae any idea of how much time we have?" *her heart grew heavy but she was determined to do her best in this fight*

Jianthre, too, has his thoughts but he does not want to pick a fight with Kaiaa even though there would not be a lot of time to forge much.. caltrops, perhaps and a few other things.

The others scattered to follow the huge dragon's orders.. taking hope in her words.. maybe they would survive this attack..

*** The scouts of the army gathered around the three huge Urakhiah leading them. They were about a five minute walk away from the nearest troops and above them the walls of the narrow canyon towered. The rumbling of the army's passing had already causes a few rockslides but that was no impediment to them, they just continued on their way. It would take a lot to stop them .***
