Jianthre stepped back a pace, then nodded, his voice a bit supprised and wondering where they would be able to get such things. "Aye, I could use a bit more for use in the forge. " He looks closer at the armour she has on * "Dwarf-made?"

 

[Thunderring]

"Good eye," she complamented. "Not everyone can tell. It was a gift a few years back for helping them solve an orc problem."

Jianthre smiles " Orcs.. vermin more likely.. Bring your gear here and I'll try and sharpen your swords.. but some blades are particular as to who they will let touch them.. What do you have in the way of supplies? "
*D'ynra silently re-entered the forge and emptied the bucket of water into the larger one standing near the anvil, listening to his father and the warrior discussing price*

 

[Thunderring]

"If you're talking about eating supplies, chocolet. If you're talking abot weapons that need to be repaire or replaced....Umm...Well I think it would just be easier to show you." She let out a sharp whistle and both horses trotted over to her, dumping Raven in the process.

*Ellendryle stirred the oatmeal again, then swung the kettle away from the flames, it would keep warm but hopefully not burn. She was hungry but would wait to eat after her guests did. * "If they want a hot breakfast they had better come back here soon.." *she sits down at the small table and rests her head in her arms..*

 

[Thunderring]

It was then that she heard this:

"WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR YOU IDIOT!" (Raven)

"IDIOT! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU'RE CALLING AN IDIOT YOU MORAN!"

"WHY I AUTA SLUG YOU FOR THAT!"

"Why? I'm only stating the truth," Kaiaa tunted.

"THAT'S IT!"

*Jianthre approached the horses, but stayed out of biting range..* "They are beautiful.. " his eyes narrow as he sees the dried blood still caking the saddle and the long rent in the armour. * What have you been fighting- it looks like a.. dragon?!"

As the argument broke out, the smith shrugged and returned to his forge, certain that sooner or later the strangers would be back.. "Go pump up the bellows, D'ynra.. we've work to do.."

 

[Thunderring]

However neither one was currently answering as both were rolling around on the ground betting the living daylights out of each other.

***Meanwhile, deep in the Breakneck Mountains there are strange creatures gathering.. most are thought to not exist but they do- and have not been seen by humankind for many, many years. The hollow caverns are now where they lair and breed and scheme..***

With a sudden move Kaiaa grabed Raven's arm and bit, hard.
Raven yelped and tried to get her to realease her hold on his arm even as the continued to roll.

*In the dark caverns they gathered, coveting the bright gems and metals found closer to the surface. Experience had shown that the great worms, the dragons had gathered many treasures and guarded them well, yet to the Crsczk the dragons had served their purpose . The hordes of black and purple Crsczk were ready now to take what they deem as their rightful tribute. By sheer numbers and skill, they have already feasted on dragonflesh and defeated two of the smaller dragons, those only 12 feet or so in length. Draped in dragonskin armour and carrying their own weapons of blade and spear, they move closer to the unsuspecting land beyond the mountains men call the Breaknecks*

Jianthre pulled the bar of iron from the coals and finished shaping the last of the implements needed for Lord Noland, now all that remained was the final sharpening and fitting handles to the hoes already done. That would take care of the work he had to do, next he could concentrate on the strangers' weaponry and gear. The smith showed D'ynra how to sharpen the edges, leaving him with a stack to work on. *

*Ellendryle awoke to the smell of scorched breakfast.. she managed to save some of the oats but most were not fit for anything save maybe for the birds to eat. For the second time she was scrubbing out a kettle that was crusted with burnt food. Anyone who had known her before she settled in this place would have been rolling over laughing. With a sigh, she pours water from the bucket and swings the kettle-arm back over the fire. ~maybe boiling the water would make it easier to clean~ she thought.

(No response to their fight?)

Eventually they stopped and rose dusting them selves off all the while arguing in their strange languge.

Suddenly Kaiaa stopped in mid step and scentence.

"Kaiaa? Kaiaa what is it?" Raven asked as the horses went over to them.

Slowly Kaiaa walked toward the edge of the village a distant look on her face. As she stood there head tilted toward the wind Raven began to stap on weapons and armor.

"Ellendryle! You need to get out here and you need to get out here now!" Raven bellowed loud enough for the whole village to here. Bow at the ready Raven walked to Kaiaa and spoke in a whisper to witch she shook her head no.

Again he whispered and again she shook her head no. Once more he spoke to her. This time her face scrunched up in thought as she walked further toward the first nose twitching.

"I don't know, but what ever it is, it likes to eat dragon." This was said loud enough for any one near by to hear.

((well Ellendryle is busy and Jianthre knows better then to get involved in silly brawls.. j/k actually he doesn't fight unless there is quite a provocation ))

*Ellendryle jumped at the sound of her name echoing thru the village, dropping the rag she had been using to scrub with, she grabs a small bag and runs out into the dirt street. "What?! Who's hurt?" *her hands have a faint golden glow to them but it is hard to see in the bright sunlight. The healer stares from Raven to Kaiaa, not seeing any blood or obvious wounds*

Jianthre too, has appeared in the street, a massive hammer in his left hand. He looks up and down the street moving closer to Raven and Kaiaa but out of their way. "What's wrong? I don't see anything"

 

[Thunderring]

"I don't either but she does, or at least she smells it. Kaiaa isn't exactly human. I don't know what she is for sure but she's not human, and if she says there is something there then there is something there." Raven told them sturnly as he began to unload the saddle bags which where full of weapons.

 

[Thunderring]

"Raven, these things, they kill dragons," Kaiaa said sounding a little unsure.

"And?"

"Young dragons Raven."

Raven stopped and with out moving asked, "How young?"

"I don't know for sure, but I'd guess some where between seven and eight hundred still hatchlings. Cave dwellers that don't mind the sun light, don't like it but doesn't harm them. They've killed two at least maybe three, and their not only comeing this way but there are a lot of them. Raven they've killed young ones, I have to call in the elders."

"How long can we hold off doing that?"

"No more then a day, because I'll know for sure how many and the age by then."

Once again Raven began to work as he talked.

"Is there any way to turn this in our favor?"

"I could inform Kalis, he would be willing to work with us, with out....well you know."

"Then do it but what as long as you can. Let's see if we can tell him who killed the young ones when we finally tell him. Are you sure you've never encountered these things before?"

"Yes."

Ellendryle looked from Raven to Kaiaa. "Now what make ye think ye can fight anything yet? Ye are only a few hours from awakening after a healing and ye haven't eaten?!" ~she sounds like she really does sense something.. it might not be fever affecting her mind..~

Jianthre watches interestingly as Raven unloads the weapons, frowning a bit and reaching out to grab one.. "This is one that needs work.. any more?"
