Feeling very satisified with herself Kaiaa turned back once more and headed toward the villiage.

"Good news," she called out when she got close.

"What's that?" Raven yelled at her as he teasted the edge of his knife.

"They're not flame proff!"

Kalis roared in laughter, his deep voice shaking the ground as he did so.

"That is endded good news," he said through his laughter.

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*Ellendryle checked her weapons again, thinking as she did that maybe they would make it through this battle instead of providing food for the vultures and crows that circled far overhead, knowing that their food supply was not in danger*

 

[Thunderring]

"Cheer up little halfling," Kalis's voice said gently from over her shoulder. "We will win this battle."

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*Looks up at the huge dragon, wondering how he know she was a half-elf, then mutters softly in Elvish* `I hope so... for all our sakes..there's still much to do and see` *for a moment her thoughts drifted then she called out* "How much longer until they come? "

 

[Thunderring]

The dragon nodded his understanding and shifted into the ground a little more.

"A few hours, maybe few days, depending on how well we can keep their scouts from coming back," Raven said.

"Which reminds me," Kaiaa broke in. "The best archers in the villiage need to speak to Raven ammidentaly, while me and Kalis doing a little scouting of your own..."

Raven said something in the strange languge once more to which Kaiaa ducked her head and appeared to be blushing.

"I hate it when they do that," Kalis mumbled very annoyed.

*The healer nods* "Aye, I ken what ye mean.. I am Ellendryle, healer .. I don't believe Kaiaa introduced us, she seems a bit flighty, no offense.."

 

[Thunderring]

"None taken young halfling. I, as you already know, am Kalis, one of the great dragon elders." His hot breath tickled her as he let out a deep sigh. "I just wish I could desipher that languge of theirs...."

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*Ellendryle nods, carefully unstringing her bow* "I thought you knew it, I mean isnae it yours" *she turns a bit red at the thought * "I'm sorry, I mean nae harm.."

 

[Thunderring]

He chuckled lightly.
"No harm done, and no its not. Those two have a very bad past and they share most of it. It was during those years that they invented this code, this languge of theirs. No one has ever dechiphered it and they have taught it to no one."

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*A shiver runs up her spine as she remembers the night Kaiaa and Raven arrived.. Just as she was thinking this, she heard Jianthre's voice*
"ELLenryle- come on! We don't have all day to wait for you- there's only a few bowmen anyway, " *he added to Raven.

 

[Thunderring]

"And we will need every one of them. Any one good enough with a sling to kill something, or at least knock it out so that it can be killed?" he asked checking the bag at his side.

"Kalis," Kaiaa said. The other dragon nodded at her then turned back to Ellendryle.

"Well meet Lady healer. Health and safty to you in the coming battle." And with that he fallowed Kaiaa high into the sky.

*Jianthre and Ellendryle looked at each other, then at Raven.. * "Well, there's about a half dozen who have brought home game to eat.. the others.. " *he shrugged*

 

[Thunderring]

"We need people who can get one shot hits. In other words, knock 'em out or kill them. Don't care what type of weapons they're using just get them," he ordered as he bent down and began drawing in the dirt.

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*They nod and move back a bit, kneeling to watch Raven's battle plan take shape in the dirt. The others did the same..*

 

[Thunderring]

"How many men do we have?" He glanced up at Ellendryle. "Figuritvly speaking."

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*Ellendryle chuckled* "Perhaps a dozen who could shoot fairly accuratly, half again that many who have seen fighting of some sort.. Jianthre.. what d'ye think?"

*Jianthre nodded slowly* "Aye.. but there are a few things we can use. " He hefted the leather sack beside him "Caltrops.. a couple score.. scatter them in front of the army and it'll slow them down"

 

[Thunderring]

"Good thinking. However what we really need to do is take them out little by little. Prefurabley with out notifing the enamy as to what's happening. In other words we need to be silent and deadly. Make the uneasy, afraid. Pick off gurds, scots, forigures, and any one else who strayes to far. Do you understand?"

 

[Ellendryle of Sunrising]

*They all nod, then move away to their homes to gather weapons and supplies.. Jianthre looks at Raven, *" If they are near the pass, it wouldn't take much to start a landslide.. only thing is, how to let them know.."
