  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone here listen to Bright Eyes? I love Conor Oberst and the rest of his band. I'm listening to his latest album, cassadaga, right now actually :D.
His music has dragged me out of some pretty bad places in my life. Basically smacked me in the face and said 'listen, your not the only one who has a screwed up life, so stop being so melodramatic' *laughs*
Conor's sound has definitely changed since his last album came out. He seems more content. I still like his earlier music, but this new person, content with his lot in his life, is very refreshing.

No one else but us huh?
Bah, what to they no anyway....:D
Anyway, I keep hoping he will do a show around Phoenix at some point as that is where I'm living currently. I've never go to see him in concert before, but I think it would be cool to go.

I'm Wide Awake Its Morning is pretty much excellent.

The rest of his catalog I'd rather forget about.

I liked Digital Ash in a Digital Urn a lot actually and fevers and mirrors myself. Cassadaga was a big change, but definitely good.
