A while back, I wrote some poems in short poetic forms: haiku, tanka, and charita. Here are a few examples:

the words ain't coming

the ideas just don't
want to work together

and all of it is
a complete mess
ah, the joys of writing

-------

browsing the bookstore
don't know what I'm looking for
so I don't find it

-------

change the world, they say
though the truth is that the world
does not want to change
it just wants our approval
while it descends into hell

-------

death will not whitewash
for death is the door to One
who knows everything
that Judge who sees underneath
the masques we wear to seem good

-------

I am selfish, I
Care only for my needs, I
Want what I want, I
Do not care what you want, I
Am focused on myself, I

-------

A peculiar business

The preacher preaches
Then the crowds applaud

If your preaching makes you
A friend of the world
Then who is your enemy?

Nice...

The last one reminds me of the fact that when a speaker is introduced the introduction is designed to make you feel comfortable.

When a true prophet speaks, the intro makes you feel most uncomfortable.
