  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it normal when beginning to wean that one breast tends to fill up with milk faster and more often than the other? I am down to nursing once a day but notice that one breast tends to be very "full" at the end of the day and the other seems to be empty. I'm concerned that once I am done weaning that one breast is going to be significantly larger than the other.... any advice?

Do you always feed your baby on the same side first? If so, this will be the side where baby is sucking more strongly, telling that breast to make more milk.

If it worries you that much, just make sure you alternate which breast you offer first, and things should even out. Theoretically :D

yeppers I do! Didn't even think about that.

Oh and ladies, just a straw poll... when I weaned Angus (at 27 months) it took about four months for my milk to dry up (which my midwife said was perfectly normal). Just wondering how long it took you girls?
I only breastfed one of my other kids, but it took about 2 months for me. then again I don't BF that long :)
