CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well I started making my Mom a shrug for Christmas (not sure what year) Had to tear it out because I didn't know how to make a M1 stitch by the time I figured it out it was a mess!! I hope it gets easier. What craft are you into?Leo likes cheese grits too

Hi Bonnie, M1 is an increase stitch. I wish you had posted and someone here could surely have told you. Over here if I have any queries or problems I can go back to the wool shop and they help me out. It is like that with most wool shops here. I am so pleased knitting is becoming more popular again and there are so many lovely patterns around.
I have been busy with uni but am still working on Morgans little jumper (sweater). I might work on it this afternoon actually.
I am pleased you found a pattern for the shrug. Want to share then we can all see what you are doing?

Thought my Mom would really like this because it would keep her neck and arms warm. She has a problesm with her neck soooo. Making this with wool yarn, another favorite of hers.

Well, as you can see from my post count, I'm not a total recluse. I usually post in more "serious" threads but these posts here in the 'Eagles' section are nice. I realize it can get serious here too but it's all done with a different perspective than the other forums.
It's refreshing.

Yea Bob this is basically our "get away" forum from the serious threads. I get too involved in theological discussions and come here just to socialize and relax.
My whole concern is the way the "outsiders" are coming into CF and realy lambasting the Christian beliefs in the general forums. I've even made mass posts on this problem and even the CF mods tell me to quit spaming. 'Course I'm used to get warnings about what I think
Spearfish isn't too far from a spot I used to like to go to every year. Not anymore though. It's a mess. 600-700K last year I think.

Yeah Radidio, I'm way too familiar with those 600 - 700K people who come here every year. The numbers were down this year and the whole event is spreading out throughout the Hills more. We really dread the rally each year. I guess if I were managing to get $1 from each of them each year it wouldn't be so disturbing.
