  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do ya'll use them anymore. I don't hear too much about them after the craze years back. I have one in the attic that I didn't have much success with & am about to give it away.

Just wondering if it is the machine or me:doh: :D

I have 2 of them and like them both, but haven't made bread for a while now. One makes a tiny loaf of bread that is done in about 45 minutes.

Reading this thread, I'm now wanting to make some very soon.

Hope we can encourage each other.

I make all of my bread by hand however my mother-in-law has a bread machine and I am looking forward to getting one and cutting down the time it takes to go through the process myself. I was wondering, can you just make the dough in the machine and then take it out to bake it how you want to? I am more into shaped individual rolls, etc. then actual loafs :)

Mine allows you to as did the one I used when I was a nanny (they are the same brand). I think most allow you do to that but you'd have to check and do some research. Mine's a breadman.

Thanks, I might invest in a bread machine soon. I like to make crescent rolls and clover rolls :)

I love my bread machine....I had one and it broke (I used it everyday) so for Christmas hubby got me a new one and I use it almost every day we are always making something in it...bread, dough, rolls, one of our favorites is zucchini bread and the bread machine makes a perfect one.

My mum was given a bread maker last year that she wasn't all that interested in, a few months later we were looking through a department store catalogue and I was saying how I was going to buy my own bread maker because I loved using my best friends mums bread maker when I stayed at her house one time. So my mum dragged her bread maker out of the cupboard and hands it to me...lol I thought all my Christmases had come at once I was so thrilled. I love my breadmaker my favourite recipe would have to be banana bread.

Using mine right now to make honey, whole wheat pizza dough! I'll let you know hoe it turns out. I may not have added the ingredients in th right order, in which cast I'll try the alternate order next time and go from there.
