  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know that there has already been a thread about this, but it is taking so long for me to get anywhere on here I thought I would just post this anyway!

What do BH feel like? I don't remember having them with DD (but I probably did, just didn't realise!)

I've had a couple of times where my belly gets really hard (only up to where the uterus is). It does feel uncomfortable, but it isn't painful as such.
I haven't really timed it though so I couldn't tell you how long it lasts for. Is it normal to have this happen at 21 weeks?
I guess it could also be bubsy laying on the outer side though, but it just feels really hard all over that area....

Well, I've heard that the difference between braxton hicks and false labor is that braxton hicks aren't painful. They say that if you get up and walk around and it stops, that is a true sign it's fake, I think that's with false labor. It is also irregular. Sounds like braxton hicks. I've also heard that you should lay down and rest... sometimes they are brought on when you overextend yourself. However, i've also heard it's your body exercising for the real event.

I went into false labor a few days before I had my last one because for some reason I got a real intense nesting phase in the last week and I was cleaning non stop all day. I had to lay down for like 20 minutes before the pain and contractions stopped. I took it easy after that.

I honestly don't know when they start.. I say if your belly is tightening, it's probably braxtion hicks. It's really common in the 8th month.
