I would hope that you don't need Target to teach your children if they are boys or girls. Everyone is going off the deep end in these times. It will get worse. Don't limit yourself now because the day will come when the forces of antichrist will limit what you can and can't do. Until then, shop at Target. They can make the clothes gender-neutral on the tag, but everyone knows that the booty shorts that say "Juicy" across the butt are for 6 year old girls and the urban thug pants and wife-beater are for your 8 year old boy. (That last sentence was dripping with sarcasm, by the way.) To me, the sexually suggestive clothing for children and thugwear are a bigger concern than the labels.

Crazy. My 3 yr old niece is very girly. She plays dress up with make up, becomes a princess, witch, chef etc.

My nephew on the other hand loves tractors, balls etc

Ya, kids are going to be who they are and we are suppose to support them in that.
I don't think whether Target has some label here or not there will make any difference.

I'll continue to shop at Target a couple times a year like I have in the past.

The gender labels are being removed from items like toys and toy aisles and some toys that should have been gender neutral to begin with (like blocks, building set and games) will no longer be labeled for boys or girls. What is the big deal? If a boy wants an Easy Bake oven and a girl wants an Erector set they should not be discouraged because of labels. You may have the next great baker or engineer in your living room if you give them the chance to explore it early.

I believe it is a nonissue. If Christians started boycotting companies based on who they support what their politics are or what they believe in the only places we would go would be Chickfila and Hobby Lobby.

Lord I wish I had the free time and emotional energy to spare to be upset that Target isn't going to have a sign that says "Toys for Boys" or "Toys for Girls"....

If we were to boycott anybody, it'd be Wal*Mart, for many reasons, like their absolutely unforgiving methods that they treat their employees with. And then you got that whole issue with them shutting down Wal*Mart stores and the scores of conspiracy theories about why. I've heard some that would not surprise me if they were actually true.

The owners of Wal*Mart are rolling in the dough, but yet they don't really pay their workers all that well, they force them into overtime, and all other kinds of shenanigans that I can't say I approve of.

The problem, though, is that Wal*Mart is the only place we can really afford to shop because everybody else is being pushed out of business by them.

All that you have said about Walmart is also true about Target and other Big Box stores.

Well, last I checked, Wal*Mart was far worse, and we don't even HAVE a Target near us, lol.

I would much rather buy from local stores, but the problem is, a lot of local stores don't even carry some stuff that Wal*Mart does unfortunately. I wish I had other options, but I don't...

Wondering why single Target out? Aren't most stores, schools, etc implying the same policy?

I doubt if Christians are numerous and unified enough to actually have any effect but I'm all in favour of boycotting Target. While all big business has their list of sins Target is the most up front and over the top in their pushing of the homosexual agenda. Also their most recent ad campaign is not in English. I realize there are a lot of non English speakers in America but to run their ad's in a foreign language to me says "you don't count, they are more important"

With that being the case I will leave it to the foreigners and homosexuals to keep them in business. If that's who they want in their stores then so be it.

I think the greatest tragedy is that this issue is never going to go away. It's like pandora's box has been opened. The difference between boys and girls was common sense 50 years ago, but 50 years from now they will keep spouting this argument and never going anywhere with it.

I've been boycotting Target for years, since they disallowed the Salvation Army from collecting outside their doors. They reversed the policy, but I know where they stand now.
