I had to write this story for my Reading/Language Arts class and decided to share it with all of you. The assignment was to pick a moral (Like "Money can't buy everything") and write a story supporting it. He (my teacher) wants us all to use interesting vocabulary. Here it goes:
Boy Meets Girl By Kaylee
Once upon a time, there was Dan. A very sullen, withdrawn, lonely young man was he. Dan had no friends, he had no job, and no home. It seems like he had had a very difficult life thus far, right?
One rainy, unhappy day, Dan met KC. KC, in his eyes, was perfect. She was rich, kind, cheerful, and stunningly enchanting to him. KC turned Dan's frown up-side down and his obscure, gloomy days into happiness and sunshine. Whenever Dan thought of her, he was in complete bliss. Dan loved KC. But KC didn't love him back.
KC's parents frowned upon Dan. They did not approve of the fact that Dan was so dismal and had no money or job to sustain their well-brought up daughter. They believed that she deserved the absolute best. KC's parents could not accept the fact that Dan could not support their daughter the way they thought he should.
As KC saw Dan more and more frequently, she commenced to liking him back. KC could see that Dan was changing into a wonderful animated (happy) young man. Soon, KC loved Dan so powerfully her heart pounded and she turned to jelly everytime she saw him.
The more her parents detested the relationship, the more KC grew to like him. She saw that the Dan she had met at first was not her Dan, was not the person he was now.
Despite her parents' protests, KC and Dan planned a wedding. KC's dress was made with such care and talent it was almost too much to bear. It was white, with lace and pearls sewed onto it painstakingly, with silk, so white and stunning it was blinding. Dan's suit was tailored so perfectly you couldn't even see the stitches. It was a black tuxedo, with ironed white shirt and red tie. He was clean and wore a smile on his face.
That day, as KC and her father got ready to walk down the aisle together, KC's father turned to her and said, "Be blessed, my daughter. I only want the best for my KC," and KC understood that her father accepted the marriage-and fully approved.
As KC walked down the aisle that beautiful sunshine day, her smile was genuinely sparkling.
