Boxing???

Is Boxing wrong, say i wanted to start it, which i do, do you think that it would be immoral/ unethical ??

No, I don't think its wrong, in the sinful sense. Any more than other violent sports are sinful.

But I do think its daft, silly and can be dangerous! But then if two people want to hit the living daylights out of each other, who am I to stop them???

I think you shouldn't hurt other people on purpose. My opinion is that it would be better to take up a sport where nobody gets hurt, or at least if someone does get injured, it would be an accident.

Boxing is a sport, the purpose of it isnt to hurt people, thats why you have gloves... It wouldnt be wrong unless it put yours or another persons physical body in jeapordy.

i dont think it's sinful, bc you're not hitting the other person with anger...you're hitting them with...um...determination to win.

There's no abslutes, it can be used for or bad. But in general, if it's to make alot of money it's not so good

what does money have to do with anything, if it made alot of money you could give the money to charity or something and help people.

Take up competition Tae Kwon Do. Fully padded you are never "hurting" the opponent (unless there is an illegial kick). Both are fully padded and the match is tightly controlled by a referee. BTW, it is a much more grueling sport than boxing and it is impossible to "rest" on the opponent or to "rest" against the ropes and take body or arm shots while you catch your breath.

I've been competing in Tae Kwon Do tournaments for a few years now. Nothing is sinful about it, though it does occasionally hurt to get kicked in the face

I am an old guy and was active in it until a couple of years ago...may still go back to it now that I am feeling pretty good. I did get hurt, but it was my back and had NOTHING to do with an opponent.

A kick below the belt ain't a fun thing either!
