I am a believer and I was among other believers in the dream. Currently in my life, I am going through a lot in my life, it's a trust issue........ I am at the point that I am close to losing everything that I have, God seems silent and I am looking for a breakthrough which it looks at this point that it may not come.
Thank you for explaining that. So sorry about your situation! It can get so hopeless, and with so many people around us stressed right now, they tend not to be as merciful as usual.
Paul said:
You were able to contain the problem, and then resolve it correctly.
I was with a group of people talking then all of a sudden ...So I'm standing there wondering what to do.
You were with Christians in a public setting, and a private thing came up in an inappropriate way. It is embarrassing to admit to peers that our lives are falling apart, when we work so hard to present a good image.
This can also make us feel torn -- whether to present ourselves in a positive demeanor and show that we trust God, can handle difficulty...or to lower our stature and ask for prayer, advice, and help. It is risky, because it takes a mature and caring group of Christians to respond well. Some people will use it against you. Others will judge you, outrank you, imply you've been disobedient to God or done something to deserve it.
In your dream, you faced people as bravely as you could, and then handled it as gracefully as possible.
The stain is the memory in the fabric -- the residual gossip or reputation change that you are left with after people find out. I am always amazed when public speakers talk about weak areas in their lives, and use it to illustrate how to come out strong. There is always that risk of being judged.
From experience I have found it more effective to carry myself with positive composure, than to air my dirty laundry. It doesn't have to be fake, but using time with people profitably. You can protect your family from further damage by guarding where you air your weaknesses. Stay in control of what is said about you.
This morning I was reading R. Daniel Lapin's newsletter, and he said:
"How did Moses rise above his negative mood? By acting in exactly the opposite way to how he felt. The main characteristic of pessimism is feeling small and inadequate to the challenges facing us. When we are insecure, we tend towards pettiness... Moses rose above the annoyance of these two men and reacted with bigness. Rather than resenting them, he judged them favorably. His magnanimity banished the depressed feeling and he returned to his usual strength."

I hope things turn around for you soon! God is good, and has not forgotten you.
