  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If there is anyone out there who can tell me that a garden rose isn't beautiful, a watermelon isn't delicious, or they don't get their energy from ANY type of plant, I'd like to meet them, because they are lying about the third one, at least!

I'm a huge plant lover. I study plants, I grow plants, I love plants. God gave us plants to eat, look at, and to calm us down.*

If you are an aspiring botanist, gardener, farmer, etc., then this is a club for you, where you can discuss your favourite plant(s), tell us how you grow your plants, and anything else plant related, from flowers to shrubs!

** Red is a color that irritates the nervous system and puts the viewer in an irritated state, where green has just the opposite affect; it calms the nervous system down and relaxes the viewer.

I've always liked plants also. I was going to major in Botany for a brief time in college. I think my dad's love for plants got me interested.

I'm not currently growing anything interesting except some hot pepper plants grown from seeds in a hot pepper a guy in a Mexican restaurant gave me.
