Yep thats the pre-requisite and that is why I demand denounciations to participate...I denounced the LCMS which I was born and raised in and have now become a part of the true church which is the church of born again believers...NO labels allowed.

You have no right to demand this of anyone. You are not a moderator. If you want to discuss non-denominational theology go over to the non-denominational forum.

You don't have to participate in this thread, feel free to leave...I consider you guys seperated brethren anyway...Please seperate.

I will not leave on the basis that I have just as much right to post on this thread as a Catholic, a Methodist, a Presbyterian, a Baptist, a Lutheran, or anyone of any other denomination has to post here. I will not leave because this thread is NOT a forum for Christians who belong to the "Non-Denominational" denomination. There is a forum for that.

I will not leave on principle.

I do not care what you think of me or my faith.

Why do you feel the need to create a thread for Non-Denominational Christians when there is a forum dedicated to such a group? There are no threads here labeled "Lutherans Only" or "Presbyterians Only" or "Orthodox Only."

Why do you feel the need to be exclusionary on the board that is designed to be inclusive?

Its ecumenical in theory, you just need to put any labels to rest then this becomes a very inclusionary thread...

Non-Denominational is a label.

So we just have to put to rest the labels you don't like.

This thread is created ONLY for non-denominational born again bible Christians...No exceptions.
THIS INCLUDES CATHOLICS, FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SUGGEST THEY AREN'T A DENOMINATION.
I did this because a brother on here rightly pointed out we have no where to post whatever we want under the protection of denomination specific guidelines, so here it is.

We can talk about anything without debate from any denominational Christians...

I'll start with a comment.

Hey Uphill...Just wanted you to know your competitor was essentially a no-show in your prior debate...You won hands down!

Awesome ! No debate thread. i like that.

So... Hey, remember that thread i started several
months ago cos i was concerned that my son and
his catholic gf might not be a good mix?

K, so shortly after they begin dating, SHE asks him
if he wants to attend "MY" church (he'd never visited
it before iether, and I'd never spoken to her about any
church or religion.. in fact, I think i'd seen her once.)

So they came, she loved it, she was telling coworkers
they ought to try it. Now a few months later, I invited
all of my kids (and their friends) to church last week
because it was my birthday and so thought they might
come out of guilt :p... she loved it so much that my
son came up to me today complaining, "way to go mom,
now mary has switched Sundays for mondays at work
because she wants to start going to your church".
He said with a grin. Sooooo, Praise God for the RC
girl who brought my son to my church!!
She is quite a gem in every way. Hope they can
make it work out with her relatives and such.

My older sons fiance also is trying to switch from working
Sundays for that same reason... to attend my church.
God is so GOOD! It's all Him.

Heh. Pretty cool stuff.

God is awesome...reading tween the lines I can tell the HS is very active in your church praise the Lord you found such an awesome home...God moves in families like what happened in yours and who knows maybe it will bring a streamline of people associated to her out of the Roman church "religion" way and into a more active and alive relationship with the LORD, along with many of her co-workers as well.
A long time ago I remember mamaz telling how one after another after another of her family came out of the mormon church into a true relation.
God is so wonderful!

How does one know if they are "born again"?

When one understands they believe and that they now want the things that glorify God. Such faith results in willful outward desires for things holy as described by James below:

James 1:12-27

12] Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him.
[13] Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one;
[14] but each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
[15] Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown brings forth death.
[16] Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
[17] Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
[18] Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
[19] Know this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger,
[20] for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God.
[21] Therefore put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
[22] But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
[23] For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who observes his natural face in a mirror;
[24] for he observes himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.
[25] But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his doing.
[26] If any one thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is vain.
[27] Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
