  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm out in the middle of practically nowhere, but I still find things to do. Make some more friends and you have a wealth of stuff to entertain you.

IM sports
Girlfriends
Gaming buddies (if that interests you)
Movie nights
Clubs

Try and find things to do; don't let them find you.

Does anyone else just feel like there is a lot of time in college to do nothing. Im used to being able to step out my door at home and do stuff, but here in the city I just get bored of watching tv and hanging out.
Maybe get a part-time job? Preferably one having to do with whatever you are studying.

Well I always have the option of doing homework due the next day, working on a long term project, or studying for a test. When I'm not doing that I like to surf the net, watch tv, read a book, text message (I have unlimited text messaging). Tuesday my friends and I had a movie night (we watched Donnie Darko, which is VERY interesting by the way.) We'll probably do it again tomorrow night since everybody was pretty busy tonight. When all else fails we go to wal-mart and set off every tickle me elmo in two second increments. LOL. yeah, it's evil, but FUN!

i know what you mean, I spent my first semester behind my computer for lack of things to do. I go to a smaller college in AZ but there are a lot of things to do on college campuses you just have to get out there and find something interests you, like take pys ed class (we even have 15th century italian wresteling and turkish-egyptian dancing or join a club like fencing or boxing you'll meet people and they will know of more things to do

My first year down at my university, I was always bored, because I didn't work. My second year I got a job, and now I work full-time and go to school... so I barely have any extra time on my hands, I am always busy working, going to class, studying or sleeping it seems.

Im not saying Im a bumb. I am a part of the business organization, small group, missions team, intramural basketball, full load of credits, rock climbing, and have many good friends. What I should have said is during the week in between classes or after classes. At home I could go hunting or ride my motorbike for a bit.

Im a singer and only wish i could play an intrument.. so I was in charge of the big blow up slide.. i had so much fun! I even got o Play on it lol.. but then tonight we had a cook out thing here on campus.. we played football... well threw the ball around.. and ate and listened to music..
