Hi there, we're pretty new to our area and it rains a lot here - so I've been stuck in the house a lot with my 10 month old baby. I'm kind of running out of ideas of things to do with him. I looked into joining MOPS because it would give him something to do, and help me to connect with some other mothers in the area, but it doesn't start until September. There's really only so much "peek-a-boo" that I can stand to play in a day. We read books and I play the guitar for him, sometimes we'll watch Veggie Tales, but he can only really sit through any of these things for about 10 minutes at the most before he gets bored. When we can, we go to the park, or go for a walk, but the weather isn't usually that great here. I set up different "play stations" in different rooms in the house to keep him entertained, but I think we're both still so incredibly bored. I take him to the stores with me during the day too, but I don't like shopping very much so I'm really just going because I can't think of any thing better to do.

Anyway, I'm really running out of ideas here. What can I do with a 10 month old baby? Thanks

finger Painting, play doh, make cubby houses with sheets and pillows, if he can hold a pen, try coloring in, put on some music and dance.... let him play with the pots and pans on the floor, banging with a spoon is fun, cardboard boxes are good too, if you can get one big enough for him to fit in....sorry I can't be more help
