  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason: he was owned by a girl named Abilene, who treated him with the utmost care and adored him completely.
And then, one day, he was lost.
Kate DiCamillo and Bagram Ibatoulline take us on an extraordinary journey, from the depths of the ocean to the net of a fisherman, from the top of a garbage heap to the fireside of a hobos' camp, from the bedside of an ailing child to the streets of Memphis. And along the way, we are shown a true miracle -- that even a heart of the most breakable kind can learn to love, to lose, and to love again.

I'm not ashamed to admit I cried several times when I read this book.
This looks very interesting. I'm not a big reader, but I may have to check that one out.

oOoOo she got you one that one :p

LOL. She sure did. No, the Bible is cool.

In fact, I have a spiritual mother who told me to get into the Word and read nothing but the Word. No other books right now. I just came back to God after acting a fool for awhile. She told me I need just the Word for right now. And I agree with her.

I love this book:

Hinds' Feet on High Places is one of Hannah Hurnard's best known and best loved books. This book is a beautiful allegory dramatizing the yearning of God's children to be led to new heights of love, joy, and victory. Follow Much-Afraid on her spiritual journey through difficult places with her two companions, Sorrow and Suffering. Learn how Much-Afraid overcomes her tormenting fears as she passes through many dangers and mounts at last to the High Places. There she gains a new name and returns to her valley of service, transformed by her union with the loving Shepherd.

I also really like anything by Nicholas Sparks - This one is his best cause the main character has the same name as me! :D but I personally have enjoyed all of his books.

I also really enjoy Dee Henderson! This is the first book in her O'Malley series! I loved that series!!!

Beverly Lewis is another author that I really enjoy...this is the first book in her Abrams Daughters series - but again, I've loved all her stuff

Since I absolutely hate reading books I will recommend the only types of books I would even consider reading: The Chocolate War and the Bruno & Boots Series. They are probably a little below your reading and education level. I remember reading them the first time in 4th and 5th grade. But they are great easy reading books.
