Have you read any decent books about Christian courting? What were they?

I googled "books Christian courting" and ended up at Grace and Truth Books for Courting.

I have books on Christian dating and relationships and marriage.
Starting to go thru the marriage ones and prepartion for marriage ones.

For the record, I am only interested in books that do not encourage premarital sex. I gave up that lifestyle five years ago when I became a Christian and decided to be abstinent.

Boy Meets Girl was a good one

Overall I'd have to say read books on courting...but follow them LOOSELY...I sometimes got disappointed when I realized that my relationship wasn't like the authors' relationships to the TEE...then I realize that in the end, we both had to follow GOD's leading...and our story has ended up being unique, in a good way Try to find books that have biblical references in them

That's one of the reasons I liked Datable, and is one of the only relationship books I endorse. It debunks the whole fairytale relationship idea and gives, pretty much, a completely honest approach to dating and courtship even going as far to speak out about the way males and females think, especially when put into positions where things can happen between the couple.

I liked wait for me, by Rebecca St. James, though as all books, this is not an exact cake recipe to follow, but some good ideas.

My husband really liked (and I too when I read it) Christian Courtship in an oversexed world. It's explicitly Catholic, but the general advice holds true for everyone. I really recommend it for it's realistic perspective. You can also read it online: here.

Just because he denies those things does not mean he cannot be correct on other things.

If Spong denies creation, miracles, the historicity of the Gospels, and the resurrection, then why should we, as Christians, even look to him for guidance on questions of morality and ethics? He has denied the ultimate foundation for morality and eithics-- God's self-revelation in the Bible.
